Lifehouse have been active with their current name since 2000. Their music is viewed as Christian by some, although the band describe it as being influenced by the spiritual, while preferring to leave the interpretation of it for the listener to decide. Their first album, No Name Face, sold over four million copies worldwide, with the first single, Hanging by a Moment, subsequently named no. 1 single of the year. Stanley Climbfall was released in 2002, followed in 2005 by the album Lifehouse, which contained the single You and Me, that spent 62 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. Between 2007 - 2012 three more albums were released - Who We Are, Smoke & Mirrors and Almeria. After a hiatus, the band released their latest album, Out of the Wasteland, in May 2015. A number songs by the Lifehouse have been featured on television and movies, including Smallville, Cold Case and The Wild. Switchfoot have been making records since 1996, when they were known as Chin Up and produced Christian rock. Their third album, Learning to Breathe, was nominated for the Best Rock Gospel Album Grammy. After a change to the lineup, they gained further recognition in 2002 when four of their songs were used in the movie A Walk to Remember. After signing with Columbia Records, they released a new album, The Beautiful Letdown, which went double platinum. Switchfoot released two further albums before parting ways with the label; Nothing Is Sound, which contained the single We Are One Tonight, used on the adverts for the 2006 Winter Olympics, followed by the album Oh! Gravity. Five more albums followed; The Best Yet, Grammy-winning Hello Hurricane, Eastern Hymns for Western Shores, Vice Verses and Fading West. Then, in July 2016, their latest album, Where the Light Shines Through, was released.
